Ever since the introduction of smart phones in the 21st Century, the mobile application market has exploded. Starting as an interesting piece of technology, it has quickly integrated itself into our day-to-day life, to a point where we seem unable to live without these apps. Are they really that important ?
The industry has effectively embedded itself into a daily necessity by a range of methods, however most notably via social media. The constant addiction of dopamine rushes these apps give makes the business model infinite.
Although, while it the app market can be seen to be exploitative, it has also done good; creating 1000s of jobs and allowing friends to easily connect across the world. Thus, as there is “no light without a dark”, all things have have their limitations, the mobile application market is no exception.
